Having really taken off in popularity recently, no garden can be considered truly complete nowadays unless it has some kind of aquatic feature. There are many different types of ponds and fountain kits available, and they're not difficult to install yourself.
We stock a large selection of pre-formed ponds and water courses, including some superbly realistic stone pools and some very specialist rock-like cascades (up to 6ft high!)
Alternatively, we also keep in stock a variety of life-long guaranteed flexible pond liners to enable you to create your own pool in any shape. These come in various widths up to 6 metres wide. When calculating how much liner you will need for your excavated pond, the golden rule to remember is: measure the length and add twice the depth to this figure, then measure the width and add twice the depth again.
So, for example, a pond that you have dug that is 8ft long, by 6ft wide, and 2'6" deep will need a liner that is at least 13ft long [8ft+5ft(2'6" x 2)] and 11ft wide [6ft+5ft(2'6" x 2)]. To allow for sufficient overlap at the edges, it is advisable to add another 18 inches to your final width and length.
